Enjoy winter without being in the snow! Located outside the city of Nagoya in Mie Prefecture, Nabana no Sato is a botanical garden that has been transformed from flowers to thousands of LED lights to create a winter wonderland. Today, February 2, is Groundhog Day. A custom and national holiday that’s been adopted in 1887. The largest Groundhog Day is celebrated in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. It is said that if the groundhog does not see his shadow on this day, then spring will come early. If the groundhog does see his shadow, however, then there will be six more weeks of winter.

This year Punxsutawney Phil, the famous groundhog from Punxsutawney, did not see his shadow this year. Which means spring will come early this year!
